Nolan "Lil Nolan"'s Obituary

Nolan Joseph “Lil Nolan” Bueche, III a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; passed away peacefully at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the age of 60. He was a crane operator supervisor at CF Industries; resident and native of Plaquemine, LA. Nolan was a third-generation crane operator with Local 406. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 5 to 9pm and at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Nolan is survived by his wife, Marla Medlen Bueche; his children, Brittney Bueche Babin and husband Blake, Brandi Bueche Daigle and husband William, Brennen Paul Bueche and spouse Nicole, and Rudy Bueche; grandchildren, Kadence Claire Daigle, Payton Elizabeth Daigle, Brianna Rose Babin, and Connor Joseph Daigle; sisters, Janet Bergeron and husband Mark, and Donna Fontenot and husband Bull; nieces and nephews, Jessie Ourso, Chase Bergeron, his godchild Katherine Blanchard, Kristen Canella; godchild, Bradley Falcon; mother and father-in-law, Mary Lou and Blackie Medlen; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Nolan J. “Tat-too” Bueche, Jr. and Ethel Ann Willis Bueche; and godchild, Trey Matthew Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Spedale, Lloyd Thibodeaux, Chase Bergeron, Blane Marino, Eric Marino, Hunter Michelli, Keith Pence, and Terry Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Daigle, Darren Clouatre, William Daigle, and Blake Babin. Nolan was an avid hunter; his passion was turkey hunting. He was a member of the Bulltail Hunting Club for 50 years and was one of the original owners of the Bulltail Hilton. Nolan was a member of Local 406 for 41 years. He was a 1982 graduate of Plaquemine High School. Nolan enjoyed joking around with everyone and always had a quick comeback. He was a very talented drum player who was self-taught.
