RMDBXGPW–Cotabato, Philippines. 5th Aug, 2013. Scene following a deadly car bomb explosion in the busy street of southern Philippine city of Cotabato. The deadly blast killed at least six people and wounded 29. It detonated as a car passed carrying a local official, who escaped unhurt. It was not clear if she was the target. Cotabato is on the island of Mindanao, which has been racked by a 40-year conflict between government forces and Islamist rebels. It is the second deadly bombing on Mindanao in 10 days. A blast in the city of Cagayan de Oro on July 26th killed eight people.
